FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

The questions we are asked most often about the BPT 2010: its technical capabilities, materials, installation and service, and the quotation stage. If you cannot find the answer you need, please contact us.

Machine and performance

What is the build volume of the BPT 2010?

The build volume is 2000 mm in X, 1000 mm in Y and 1000 mm in Z, a total of 2 m³. Geometries that fit this volume can be produced as a single piece.

What if a part does not fit in the build volume?

The geometry and purpose of the part are assessed together, and options such as producing it in sections are considered from a technical standpoint. You can request a technical assessment by sharing your 3D file.

Does 1 µm precision mean a 1 µm part tolerance?

No. One micron is the positioning resolution of the axis motors, provided by closed-loop feedback. The final part tolerance depends on the material, geometry and process settings.

Does the 1000 mm/s print speed apply to every print?

1000 mm/s is the maximum speed while printing; travel speed is 2000 mm/s. The actual print speed is determined by material, geometry and layer settings.

What does the dual extruder provide?

Two independent extruder heads, each with 5 kg capacity, allow model material and support material to be used in the same print.

Why are the heated bed and controlled chamber important?

The PEEK-coated bed can be heated up to 180 °C and the chamber up to 170 °C. A controlled thermal environment supports adhesion and dimensional stability on large parts, and plays a key role in processing high-performance engineering polymers.

Materials

Which materials can be printed?

The system works with standard materials such as PLA, ABS, ASA, PA / Nylon and PC, as well as high-performance engineering polymers such as PEEK, PEKK, PPS, PPSU and ULTEM / PEI. It is designed for use with standard and engineering-grade filaments.

Can I get an opinion on suitability for a specific material?

Yes. Send us the material you plan to use and the operating conditions of the part, and our technical team will assess suitability together with you.

Installation, training and service

How are installation and training carried out?

The system is installed and commissioned at your site, and the first prints are carried out with your team. Operators receive hands-on training in operation, material selection and routine maintenance.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the site conditions. Exact planning is done at the quotation stage.

What infrastructure is required for installation?

The system runs on a 380 V three-phase electrical supply; the power requirement is 15 – 23 kW depending on the selected equipment. The machine measures 3500 × 2200 × 2500 mm and weighs between 2000 and 2500 kg. Installation space, floor and other infrastructure requirements are shared in writing at the quotation stage.

What are the warranty period and coverage?

The BPT 2010 is delivered under warranty. The warranty period and coverage are stated clearly in the quotation.

How are spare parts and technical service provided?

Because the system is manufactured by us, spare parts are supplied locally. When required, our technical team provides on-site service at your facility, and support on print parameters and troubleshooting is available by phone and remote connection.

What is the lead time for spare parts?

Spare parts are supplied from within Türkiye. The lead time depends on the part type and is communicated at the quotation stage.

How can I submit a service request?

You can call us or use the "Service and support" option in the contact form.

Samples and quotations

Can I have a sample printed before buying?

Yes. Send your 3D file (STEP, STL or 3MF) and technical requirements; the material and print parameters are defined together. Surface quality, dimensional accuracy and material behaviour are evaluated on the sample. Request a sample.

Is sample production charged?

It is assessed case by case. The aim is to verify the process capability in practice before an investment decision.

How can I get pricing?

The system is quoted according to its configuration. You can fill in the contact form or call us.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Approximate dimensions of the parts you plan to produce, the intended material, quantity and industry help us respond faster. You can also attach a 3D file if you have one.

What is the delivery time?

The delivery time depends on the scope of the order and is stated in writing in the quotation.

Are machines available in other sizes?

Our product range currently comprises the BPT 2010. For other requirements, please contact us.

Company and applications

Where are the machines manufactured?

The BPT 2010 is designed and manufactured at our facility in Pendik, Istanbul. For installation, training and service, your contact is the manufacturer itself.

Are you a distributor?

No. Big Printer Tech is the designer and manufacturer of the BPT 2010.

In which industries is it used?
